American singer-songwriter Tiffany was born 54 years ago as Tiffany Renee Darwish in Norwalk, California, is divorced and has a son.

When Tiffany was just 14 months old, her parents divorced and she went to live with her dad.  She started singing at the age of 4 after she learnt the words of a song. Tiffany took her education in 2 high schools.

In 1981, Tiffany made her music debut when she sang with a country singer and got her first ‘salary’.  Once she was performing in a renowned club and got noticed by a famous singer-songwriter and his mother, who took her to Nashville in order to sing in a variety show, and in fact, she sang 2 tracks.

In 1984, she signed a record contract and 3 years later her debut album was released, which featured the single ‘Danny’, which, however, failed to chart.  Following this, her manager decided she tours the US and give shows in shopping malls.  This gave Tiffany’s career a good push as the second single called ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ taken from her debut album peaked to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list and indeed remains her most successful hit.

In early 1988, Tiffany released the ballad ‘Could’ve Been’ which was also a number one hit on the charts.  It was followed by 3 more successful singles and rendered her the youngest female artist who topped the charts with a debut album.  Afterwards, she embarked on a tour  and as an opening act she had the boy band ‘New Kids on the Block’.  Her second album, released later that year, included the single ‘All this Time’ which entered the Top 10, however, the album itself was not as successful as her debut.

From the next decade to date, Tiffany had 9 studio albums, 8 compilation, 8 music videos and 35 singles.   Apart from music, she also appeared in 3 TV films, voiced a couple of animated characters as well as guest-starred in some sitcoms.
