In 1979, Easton auditioned for a TV programme, was chosen and was awarded a singing contract, leading her to release her first single ‘Modern Girl’.  Initially, it did not fair well, but once the first TV show aired, it was given a boost and entered the UK Top 10  chart, together with her follow-up single ‘Nine to Five’.  This single was also a number one hit in the US.  The following year, Sheena recorded the soundtrack ‘For Your Eyes Only’ for the 12th James Bond movie with the same name, also placing with the Top Ten of both the UK & US charts.

During the 80s, Easton released 9 albums, including tracks sung in duet with famous artists like Kenny Rogers, Prince and Luis Miguel.  She also embarked on 4 world tours.  In 1987, she starred alongside actor Don Johnson in some episodes of the popular TV series ‘Miami Vice’.
