
American actress and model Tracy Dawn Scoggins was born 72 years ago in Galveston County, Texas, is divorced and does not have any children.
When she was 9 years old, Tracy won a diving championship and by the time she became a teenager, had won several swimming medals. She attended high school from where she graduated. Whilst there, she stood out in diving, gymnastics as well as cheerleading. In 1970, she continued with her studies at university from where she obtained a BA in physical education.
After finishing school, Scoggins taught physical education for some time and then was recruited with a modelling agency, moved to New York and worked there for a year. Afterwards, she travelled to Europe as part of a fashion modelling circuit and once finished returned to the US. As she aimed to embark on an acting career, she enrolled with a performing arts studio to study acting.
Tracy made her acting debut in 1981 when she guest appeared in an episode of the series ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ and then starred in a TV movie. Two years later, she was part of the cast of the short-lived action crime drama series ‘The Renegades’, alongside Patrick Swayze. When this series ended, Tracy had an ongoing role in another short-lived series ‘Hawaiian Heat’.
That same year, i.e. 1984, Scoggins made her big screen debut appearance in the film ‘Toy Soldiers’, however, her first significant role arrived in 1988 when she starred in the crime thriller movie ‘In Dangerous Company’. During that same decade, she guest appeared in numerous TV series like Remington Steele, The A-Team and T.J. Hooker as well as had a recurring role in the popular soap opera ‘The Colbys’, starring in all 49 episodes. She also starred in a couple of episodes of ‘Dynasty’.
From the 90s to date, Tracy continued with her career and starred in 24 films and 32 TV series/movies. These include ‘Watchers II’, ‘Timebomb’, ‘Demonic Toys’, ‘Popstar’, ‘Babylon 5: The Lost Tales’, ‘Alien Vacation’, ‘Renegade’, ‘Danger Theatre’, ‘Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years’, ‘Highlander’, ‘War of The Ewings’, ‘Crusade’ and ‘Dante’s Cove’.
