Fiorella Mannoia was born 68 years ago in Rome, Italy and is a singer as well as an actress.

Her career started in the filming industry in 1968, when she followed her father’s profession as a stuntman together with her two siblings.  She was given some small roles as stuntwoman in a couple of movies.  That same year, she released her first song and also participated in the Italian summer song festival ‘Un Disco per L’Estate’.  More songs were issued afterwards, which although were not very successful, showed Fiorella’s vocal capacity.

In the beginning of the 1970s, she starred in three Spaghetti Westerns, in small roles, whilst continuing with releasing more songs. Then, in the 1980’s, she took part in the San Remo Music Festival a few times by singing ‘Caffe` nero Bollente’ and ‘Come si Cambia’.  She won the Critics’ Prize for two consecutive years, 1987 and 1988, with the her number one hit ‘Quello che le Donne non Dicono’ and ‘Le Notti di Maggio’.  Additionally, she also won the Tenco Prize 5 times and in 2005 was ranked as an Officer of The Order of Merit of Republic of Italy.

Apart from singing in her native language Italian and Neapolitan, she also released songs in French, Spanish, English and Portuguese, and performed duets with various artists, both Italian and international.
