Anne Celeste Heche was born in Ohio, USA 53 years ago, was married and has 3 children. Apart from being an actress, she is also a director and screenwriter.
Anne had a very troubled childhood as she claimed that for many years she was abused by her own father, who died of AIDS when she was only 13. After a few months from her dad’s demise, she lost her older brother who was involved in a car accident.
At age 16, she was offered a role in the soap opera ‘As the World Turns’ but reluctantly declined the offer after her mother’s insistance to finish school.
A couple of years later, the story repeated itself and Anne was offered another part, this time in the soap opera ‘Another World’. Again, her mum forbid her to accept this job but Anne was determined and decided to take the plunge and her career took off from there.
In 1997, she caused a lot of commotion in the media by her relationship with TV host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres which lasted for 3 years.
Heche starred in over 40 films of different genres, from comedy to horror, from drama to thriller. To name a few: ‘Six Days, Seven Nights’ alongside Harrison Ford; ‘I Know what you did last Summer’, ‘Donnie Brasco’ with Johnny Depp, ‘Volcano’ and ‘Psycho’.
Anne also acted in more than 40 TV productions and some theatrical plays, published a book and directed a movie as well as a documentary. She also appeared on many popular magazines’ covers. Throughout her career spanned over more than 30 years, she won 2 Soap Opera Digest awards and a Daytime Emmy Award, amongst others.
