CELEBRITY BIRTHDAY TODAY...C. C. CATCH

Singer C. C. Catch was born as Caroline Catherine Muller on 31st July 1964 in Oss, Netherlands.

From a young age, C. C. Catch showed interest in music and was fully supported by her mum and dad, and her father was even her manager later on.  She participated in talent competitions and was also a member of ‘Optimal’, which was an all-girl German group.

During one of her performances, she was noticed by ‘Modern Talking’ duo member, Dieter Bohlen and that is when her music career began.  Her first single ‘I can lose my heart Tonight’ was released in 1985 and managed to be in the Top 20 of some European charts.

For 4 more years, she continued collaborating with Bohlen, which led to the release of 4 albums and twelve singles.  Some of her most popular songs include ‘Heaven and Hell’, ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, ‘Cause you are Young’ and ‘Backseat of your Cadillac’.  Then Muller wished to give her songs a more personal touch but Bohlen disagreed, so they went their separate ways.

She met her new manager on a Spanish TV show and another album was issued, featuring several songs which were written partly by herself.  It was more successful than her previous albums, hence showing her abilities as a solo artist.

Muller then decided to take a career break to dedicate more time for herself physically and spiritually and even commenced to write her songs.

In the next 3 decades, C. C. Catch went on to release more albums and singles and appeared in some TV shows.  She also collaborated with other music artists.  In 2015, she went on a tour and gave concerts in the US and Canada and 2 years later in South America.
