CELEBRITY BIRTHDAY TODAY...CHRISTOPHER LAMBERT

French-American actor, producer and novelist Christophe Guy Denis Lambert was born 66 years ago in Great Neck, New York, is divorced and has a daughter.

When he was 12 years old, Christopher made his acting debut in a school play.  His acting career took off in 1979, when he was offered supporting roles in various French movies.  Five years later, he rose to international stardom when he was the main protagonist in the film ‘Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes’, which was also nominated for several awards.

The following year, Lambert starred in the lead role in ‘Subway’ and the year after played once again in lead roles in the movies ‘Highlander’ and ‘I Love You’.  ‘Highlander’s soundtrack was written and interpreted by the English rock band ‘Queen’ and the movie itself was an international box office hit.  For the rest of the 80s, Christopher acted in 3 more films.

During the 90s, Lambert acted in no less than 23 films of different genres, including TV series, and some of which he was also the producer.  These include ‘Why Me?’, ‘Knight Moves’, ‘Fortress’, ‘Nine Months’, ‘Mortal Kombat’, ‘Mean Guns’ and ‘Resurrection’.

In the last 2 decades, Christopher continued with his acting career and starred in over 40 movies as well as TV series.  He also wrote 2 books.

Apart from acting, Lambert co-owns a winery business as well as a mineral water company and a factory which processes food.
