Saturday night was an undoubtedly unforgettable one for Swedish singer LOREEN who won the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest held in Liverpool, UK.
The 26 countries that competed in the final were:
Sweden, Norway, Finland, Croatia, Italy, UK, France, Cyprus, Ukraine, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Albania, Serbia, Estonia, Armenia, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Israel, Lithuania, Moldova, Czech Republic, Poland, Switzerland and Australia.
SWEDEN won the contest with a total of 583 points with the song ‘Tattoo‘.
FINLAND, who was represented by singer Kaarija with the track ‘Cha Cha Cha‘, arrived 2nd, obtaining 526 points
ISRAEL arrived in 3rd place with 362 points and was represented by singer Noa Kirel who interpreted the song ‘Unicorn‘.
Interesting to note is that Loreen is the second artist who has won this contest twice, since she had already won in 2012 with the track ‘Euphoria’. The other singer who also won twice was Johnny Logan from Ireland back in the 80s. So now, both these countries hold the record of 7 winnings of the ESC.
