American actress Lilakoi Moon, better known as Lisa Bonet, was born 56 years ago as Lisa Michelle Bonet in San Francisco, California, is divorced and has 3 children.
She attended high school, graduated and then studied acting at an Actor’s studio. As a kid, Lisa competed in beauty contests, as well as guest appeared in several TV series.
Her acting career took off in 1984 when she was cast in the famous sitcom ‘The Cosby Show’, portraying the character of Denise Huxtable, alongside Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad who interpreted her parents. Three years later, she left the sitcom for a short period of time to act in its spin-off ‘A Different World’, plus also starring in the movie ‘Angel Heart’ alongside actor Mickey Rourke. She fell pregnant during ‘A Different World’, so she left and returned the year after in ‘The Cosby Show’. When the series ended, Lisa continued with her career and starred in movies which were made for TV or those which went direct to video.
In the last 3 decades, Bonet starred in 7 films and 8 TV productions, as well as directed some music videos. In 1988 she won a Young Artist Award for Best Young Female Superstar in Motion Picture for her role in the movie ‘Angel Heart’.
