American actress Mary Sean Young was born 65 years ago in Louisville, Kentucky, is married and has 2 sons. She is best known for her roles in sci-fi movies.
Sean studied in a senior high school, however, she did not graduate. Afterwards, she attended an Arts Academy Centre, followed by an American Ballet school. When she finished studying, Sean worked as a model as well as a ballet dancer.
Young’s acting career took off in 1980 when she was 20 years old, starring in the romantic drama film ‘Jane Austen in Manhattan’. The following year, she had a role in the comedy action movie ‘Stripes’. She made a career breakthrough when she portrayed Rachael in the famous 1982 sci-fi film ‘Blade Runner’ alongside Harrison Ford.
For the rest of the 80s, Sean starred in another 7 movies and also 3 TV productions. Probably one of her most significant roles was in the movie ‘No Way Out’, starring also Gene Hackman and Kevin Costner. Other films include ‘Wall Street’ and ‘Dune’.
