
American actress Jennifer Jason Leigh was born 64 years ago as Jennifer Leigh Morrow in Los Angeles, California, is divorced and has a son.
Jennifer appeared for the first time on the big screen in a non-speaking role in the 1973 movie ‘Death of a Stranger (The Execution)’. When she was 14 years old, she attended acting workshops and 2 years later she was cast in the film ‘The Young Runaways’. Until the end of the 70s, Leigh starred in episodes of various TV series like ‘Baretta’ and ‘Family’.
In 1981, Jennifer acted in the TV movie ‘The Best Little Girl in the World’, in which she interpreted an anorexic teenager, as well as debuted on the big screen in the slasher film ‘Eyes of a Stranger’. She continued with her career and over the years interpreted many characters in movies of different genres, both on the small and the big screen, as well as starring in TV series. In particular, between 2009 and 2012, Leigh starred in 16 episodes of the dark comedy-drama series ‘Weeds’ and 5 years later had a recurring role, appearing in 38 episodes in the comedy drama ‘Atypical’ which she also produced. This year, she will be starring in a miniseries named ‘Something Very Bad is Going to Happen’, which release date is 26th March. Meanwhile, her latest big screen movie is this year’s ‘Crime 101’ in which she portrays Angie.
From the commencement of her career to date, Jennifer starred in 70 films and 34 TV productions. Some of these include ‘Flesh + Blood’, ‘Sister, Sister’, ‘Buried Alive’, ‘Backdraft’, ‘Rush’, ‘Shortcuts’, ‘Georgia’, ‘Skipped Parts’, ‘The Anniversary Party’, ‘The Machinist’, ‘Greenberg’, ‘Welcome to Me’, ‘LBJ’, ‘White Boy Rick’ and ‘Poolman’. ‘In addition, she voiced numerous animated movie characters and performed in 7 stage plays between 1986 and 2011.
During her career so far, Leigh received several awards including a Capri Supporting Actress and a CinEuphoria, amongst others.
