American actress, comedian, TV personality, author and singer Jane Marie Lynch was born 65 years ago in Evergreen Park, Illinois and is married.
After finishing high school, Jane went to university and obtained a theatre degree and 2 years later an MA degree.
Jane’s acting career began with performances in theatrical productions based in Chicago for 15 years. Her big screen debut was in the 1988 movie ‘Vice Versa’ and 5 years later, she acted alongside Harrison Ford interpreting a secondary role of a doctor in the action thriller film ‘The Fugitive’. In 1992, she started starring in TV productions, voiced animated characters, as well as hosting various shows.
To date, Lynch acted in over 80 movies and appeared in more than 140 TV productions including sitcoms, movies (including animated), hosting TV shows, etc. Some of these include: ‘Fatal Instinct’, ‘Collateral Damage’, ‘The 40-year old Virgin’, ‘Eye of the Dolphin’, ‘The List’, ‘Another Cinderella Story’, ‘Julie & Julia’, ‘The Three Stooges’, ‘Party of Five’, ‘Frasier’, ‘Gilmore Girls’, ‘Glee’, ‘Cursed’, ‘Family Law’, ‘Monk’, ‘Friends’, ”Two and an Half Men’, ‘The L Word’, ‘Criminal Minds’, ‘Angel from Hell’ and ‘Final Space’. She will also be acting in an upcoming TV movie named ‘Fairy Tale Forest’, which release is still to be announced.
Apart from acting, Jane has also released an album in 2016 and sung 7 movie soundtracks. In addition, she performed in 3 theatrical productions and appeared in 3 video games.
During her career so far, Lynch won 15 awards including 5 Emmy, a Golden Globe, 2 Screen Actors Guild and 2 Dorian, and has also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013.
