Last week, famous Italian presenter Carlo Conti hosted the 75th edition of the prestigious Festival of San Remo held at the majestic Ariston Theatre.
This much-awaited event was presented for 5 consecutive nights between the 11th and the 15th February. On each night, Carlo Conti was assisted by several other TV/radio presenters/personalities, actors, models and singers. These included Antonella Clerici, Gerry Scotti, Mahmood, Alessia Marcuzzi and Nino Frassica, amongst others. Also, numerous popular guests were invited during the show namely actors, comedians, models, singers, sports stars, presenters and other prominent figures.
On the first night, all 29 songs were performed, whilst on the second and third nights, 15 & 14 songs per night respectively were interpreted. Guest artists sung songs from the past in duet with the contestants on the fourth night.
On the big night of the final, the participants sang one last time and after the public televoting and the voting by the press room, TV, radio and web jury, the winner was announced. Singer Olly won this year’s Festival with the song ‘Balorda Nostalgia‘, obtaining 23.84% of total votes. Singer Lucio Corsi arrived second with ‘Volevo Essere un Duro’, followed by ‘Brunori Sas’ with the track ‘L’Albero delle Noci’.
