American actress, TV celebrity, singer-songwriter and businesswoman Lindsay Dee Lohan was born 39 years ago in the Bronx, New York, is married and has a son.
At the age of only 3, Lindsay started modelling for an American international modelling agency as well as for other big brands. She also took part in more than 60 TV advertisements and even starred in the soap opera ‘Another World’ when she was 10.
A year later, Lindsay was given a double role playing twins in the comedy movie ‘The Parent Trap’ produced by Disney. It was so successful that she was offered more parts in other Disney films, one of which was ‘Freaky Friday’ released in 2003.
Lindsay was given the opportunity by singer Gloria Estefan and her husband to produce songs for those movies she would be starring in and so she began to write songs, learnt the guitar as well as singing.
In 2004, her first album was launched and although it was sceptically criticised, it did have some successful songs including ‘Rumors’ and ‘Over’. That same year, Lindsay had a main part in ‘Mean Girls’ and she became a teen superstar.
During her +30-year career, Lindsay starred in 23 films and next month, the movie ‘Freakier Friday’ is expected to be released, in which she has the leading role and is also its executive producer. She also appeared in 13 TV series/programmes, was the executive producer of 2 productions and also performed in a theatrical presentation.
As a singer, Lohan had 2 studio albums and 6 singles, as well as 6 music videos. She has modelled for renowned fashion companies and even created her own clothing line in 2008. Lindsay also opened a nightclub in Athens, Greece as well as 2 beach resorts in Mykonos and Rhodes. A video game app featuring her was also released and she also launched a lifestyle site.
Lindsay received 33 awards including 3 MTV Movie, 4 Teen Choice and a Radio Disney, amongst others, whilst in 2004, she was inducted in the Young Hollywood Hall of Fame.
