American actor and musician Macaulay Carson Culkin was born 45 years ago in New York City, is in a relationship and has 2 children.
Macaulay started acting at a very young age i.e. 4 years old when he starred in an uncredited role in the movie ‘Midnight Hour’. In 1988, he debuted on the big screen in the drama film ‘Rocket Gibraltar’ and for the rest of the 80s, appeared in a couple of movies and TV series.
In 1990, Culkin was chosen to act in the famous Christmas comedy movie ‘Home Alone’, portraying the character of Kevin McCallister, and reprising the same role 2 years later in its sequel ‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’. His brilliant performance in these 2 films rendered him very popular and sought after child actor. In fact, for the rest of that decade, Macaulay starred in 7 more movies including ‘My Girl’, ‘The Good Sun’ and ‘The Nutcracker’. In 1994 alone, he acted in 3 movies: ‘Getting Even with Dad’, ‘The Pagemaster’ and ‘Richie Rich’.
After all this stardom and fame, Culkin decided to take a career break and continued with his studies. After a 9-year hiatus, in 2003 he returned to acting, both on the big and small screen. Since then to date, he appeared in 7 films and 13 TV productions, including voicing animated characters. Macaulay will also be starring in a post-apocalyptic TV series named ‘Fallout’.
