Singer Alessia Aquilani was born 55 years ago in the Liguria region, Italy, is married and has a daughter.
Alexia showed interest in music at a young age and frequently participated in competitions regarding singing talent.
In 1989 and the 2 years that followed, she released a couple of singles and contributed as backing vocals for singer Ice MC and Roberto Zanetti (better known as ‘Savage’). These include international hits like ‘Think about the Way’, ‘It’s a rainy Day’, ‘Russian Roulette’. ‘Me and You’ (written with Zanetti), ‘The Summer is Crazy’ and ‘Number One’.
International success arrived in 1997 when Alexia released her first album ‘Fan Club’ which included ‘Uh la la la’. It was a big summer hit and was in the Top 10 music charts of several countries.
In the next 4 years, 4 more albums were released, which featured hits like ‘Gimme Love’, ‘Keep on Movin’, ‘Goodbye’ and ‘Happy’, with the last album recorded in the English language in 2001.
In fact, from the 2002 onwards, she started singing in her native Italian and recorded 12 more albums. She participated in both the San Remo Music Festival and the Festivalbar, 4 and 9 times respectively. She succeeded in winning 1st place at San Remo with ‘Per dire di No’ in 2003.
