Italian singer, actress, radio & TV personality Ambra Angiolini was born 47 years ago in Rome. She has 2 children from her relationship with singer Francesco Renga.
When she was still very young, she showed interest in dancing and her teacher gave her the opportunity to participate in a casting where they were looking for girls who were capable of dancing. She made a very good impression and was introduced to show business.
Ambra’s TV debut was at 13 years old as an extra in the variety show ‘Fantastico’ and officially in summer of 1992, where she took part in the show Bulli e Pupe. A few months later, the second edition of ‘Non e’ la Rai’ took off and Ambra was offered to form part of the cast. Then the following year, she hosted the programme herself.
In 1994, her first album ‘T’Appartengo’ was issued and was an immediate success. Said album was also released in Spanish and sold over 370K copies in Italy alone. She also managed to obtain a Gold and a Platinum Disc. In the 5 years that followed, another 3 albums were released, the latest one in 1999.
In the last 3 decades, Ambra acted in about 35 movies, 11 TV series and several theatrical productions, plus hosting various TV shows and radio programmes. She also took part in video clips and had voice roles in some films and won numerous awards, both in Italy and internationally.
