Actor and director Danny Lebern Glover was born 76 years ago in San Francisco, California, married twice and has a child.
After graduating from high school, he went to University. He did not manage to graduate, so he took drama lessons at a local theatre to become an actor.
Initially, he performed in theatre productions in his hometown but then decided to go to Los Angeles in order to have more chances to work as an actor. He also managed to form a theatrical company with another actor.
Danny starred in several movies, TV and theatrical productions, but probably is mostly famous for his role in the action films ‘Lethal Weapon’ starring also Mel Gibson. Other movies he acted in include ‘The Color Purple’, ‘Witness’, ‘Predator 2’ and ‘Fallen Angels’, amongst others. He also directed a short film for TV named ‘Override’ in 1994.
Glover is also a civil rights activist and effectively took part in several protests regarding workers’ unions, wars in different countries etc. He is also a member of a jazz foundation in the US.
During his long career, Danny starred in over 180 movies and TV productions. He was honoured with many awards, amongst which in 2021, he won an Academy Award for his contributions towards humanitarian causes.
