American actress Eva Longoria was born 49 years ago as Eva Jacqueline Longoria in Corpus Christi, Texas, is married and has a son. She is also director, producer and business woman.
When she was a high school student, Eva had a part-time job for 3 years as a waitress. She later obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in kinesiology and 11 years ago she got a Master’s Degree in Chicano studies. In her 20s, Eva won a beauty contest, took part in a talent show and auditioned for acting roles.
Eva’s career took off in the year 2000, when she starred in an episode of the then famous TV series ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ as well as the popular soap opera ‘General Hospital’. Then, the following year, she was offered a recurring role in another soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless’, interpreting the character of Isabella Brana.
In the past 2 decades, Eva appeared in about 30 movies, one of which was a documentary and another two she lent her voice to animated characters. She also acted in over 25 TV series, films and shows. She is expected to star in an upcoming comedy drama thriller TV series named ‘Land of Women’ of which she is also one of the executive producers.
Apart from acting, Eva appears in numerous commercials of various famous brands regarding sportswear, skincare, drinks etc. She owns a production company and is the co-owner of 2 restaurants and 2 nightclubs in Hollywood and Las Vegas. She also published a cook-book, has her own clothing line website, joined the ownership of a women’s football club and is also into politics.
Longoria is also an avid philanthropist and has founded a couple of non-profit organisations, as well as supports numerous charities.
During her career so far, Eva received 14 awards including 3 Imagen, 2 Screen Actors Guild and 2 People’s Choice, amongst others.
