Giorgia Todrani, born in Rome, Italy 52 years ago, is a singer and musician as well as writes and produces songs. She is in a relationship and has a son.
After being inspired by music icons like Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder amongst others, she began to sing in Jazz clubs and went on to release two live albums in the early 90’s.
In 1994, she made her singing debut at the San Remo Music Festival with the song ‘E Poi’, which positioned in 7th place. Over 160,000 copies of her debut album were sold, which was also successful in Germany. Later, she was invited by famous tenor Luciano Pavarotti to sing in duet with him at the ‘Pavarotti & Friends’ show and also sang ‘Who Wants to live Forever’ by Queen.
Triumph arrived in 1995, when she again participated in the San Remo Music Festival and won with the hit ‘Come Saprei’ and consequently, her second album was issued. That same year, she and the famous tenor Andrea Bocelli recorded the song ‘Vivo per Lei’. The following year, she once again sang at the Festival and placed 3rd with the song ‘Strano il mio Destino’. In 2001, she participated for the 3rd time with the song ‘Di Sole e D’Azzurro’ and placed 2nd.
To date, Giorgia released 11 studio albums as well as 2 live and 2 compilation albums, amongst others. She sang in duet with several famous artists like Lionel Richie, Ronan Keating, Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti, and Sir Elton John, who praised her to have one of the world’s best and most beautiful voices.
In all, Giorgia won 11 awards during her career, namely 1 Premio Lucrezia, 1 Nastro D’Argento, 1 David di Donatello and 8 Italian and Wind Music awards.
