
American actress and producer Jennifer Joanna Aniston was born 57 years ago in Los Angeles, California, is in a relationship and does not have any children.
When she was a kid, Jennifer moved to New York together with her family and there attended Waldorf school, where she discovered acting. She then continued her education in high school where she joined the drama society and performed in a couple of stage plays.
After finishing school, Aniston worked in off-Broadway productions and concurrently worked part-time as waitress, telemarketer and bike messenger to support herself. In 1988, she appeared for the first time on the big screen in the sci-fi movie ‘Mac and Me’ in an uncredited small role. The following year, Jennifer was a spokesmodel on a radio show and afterwards decided to move back to Los Angeles.
In 1990, Aniston debuted on the small screen in the series ‘Molloy’, followed by another series ‘Ferris Bueller’ and made-for-TV film ‘Camp Cucamonga’. Three years later she had a supporting role in the horror movie ‘Leprechaun’. She then guest-starred in a few TV series episodes like ‘Quantum Leap’ and ‘Burke’s Law’.
Jennifer made a career breakthrough in 1994 when she was offered to be one of the main protagonists of the famous series ‘Friends’ alongside David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry and Matt Le Blanc. This much-loved popular series aired between 1994 and 2004 and Aniston appeared in all 236 episodes, interpreting the character of Rachel Green which rendered her world famous, along with her colleagues.
During those 10 years of ‘Friends’, Jennifer also starred in several successful movies like ‘She’s the One’, ‘Picture Perfect’, ‘The Object of my Affection’, ‘Bruce Almighty’ alongside Jim Carrey and ‘Along Came Polly’ starring also Ben Stiller.
In the last 2½ decades, Aniston continued with her career and starred in over 30 films and about 15 TV programmes, some of which she directed, produced and/or executively produced as well as voiced animated movie characters. These include ‘Friends with Money’, ‘Marley & Me’, ‘Management’. ‘The Switch’, ‘Horrible Bosses’, ‘Life of Crime’, ‘Cake’, ‘Five’, ‘The Morning Show’ and ‘Friends: The Reunion’. This year, she is expected to star in ‘I’m Glad my Mum Died’ if which she is also the executive producer. Apart from movies and TV productions, Aniston also appeared in a video game, 3 music videos and numerous commercials.
In 2008, Jennifer co-founded the film production company ‘Echo Films’ and 2 years later, launched her first perfume ‘Jennifer Aniston’, followed by 8 more until 2020. In 2021, Aniston created a hair care company named ‘LolaVie’. She is also an active philanthropist and over the years has helped numerous charitable organisations.
During her career so far, Jennifer received 58 rewards out of 148 nominations. These include a Golden Globe, a Primetime Emmy, 8 People’s Choice and 6 Teen Choice, amongst others. In 2012, she was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
