Mel persevered and released another single ‘Never be the Same Again’ which turned out to be a number one worldwide hit. It was followed by another number one hit ‘I turn to You’.
Mel was still a ‘Spice Girl’ although she had released some solo material, so in the year 2000, the group’s final album came out and like the previous ones gained worldwide success. Afterwards, the group members went their separate ways and the band dissolved.
