American rock singer Robin Beck was born 69 years ago in Brooklyn, New York, is married and has a daughter.
Robin’s singing career began in the late 70s as backing singer to different artists, as well as singing radio jingles. Her debut album was released in 1979, which featured the cover version of ‘Hello it’s Me’ and well as the track ‘Sweet Talk’, reaching number 31 on the US Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. In the UK, however, it was a different story and the album’s songs were not as successful as expected.
Nine years later, i.e. in 1988, Beck’s second album came out and included the UK one-hit wonder song ‘First Time’. This track was very successful and peaked to first place on the music charts of several European countries. Another good song albeit less successful found on the same album is ‘Save up all your Tears’ which reached number 10 on the German charts. This song was especially popular on many radio stations around the world.
During the 90s, two more albums were issued, and after a 9-year hiatus, Robin returned to the music scene and released a new album named ‘Wonderland’ in 2003. In the last 2 decades, she had 6 more albums and 2 singles.
Beck collaborated with various artists and acted as backing singer on their albums. Apart from embarking on a couple of tours to promote her work, she also guest appeared in several music events in various countries.
During her +40-year career, Robin received 6 awards from 4 different countries.
