Last week, the popular Italian presenter Amadeus hosted, for the 4th consecutive year, the 73rd edition of the prestigious yearly Festival of San Remo held at the Ariston Theatre. Veteran singer Gianni Morandi co-hosted the show with Amadeus.
The festival was spread over 5 nights, with the first two nights having 14 competing songs each. Then, on the third night, all 28 songs were performed once again. Guest artists sung cover songs from five different decades in duet with the contestants on the fourth night.
On the big night of the final, the participants sang one final time and after the usual voting, the winner was announced. Singer Marco Mengoni won this year’s Festival with the song ‘Due Vite‘, obtaining 45.53% of total votes. Rapper ‘Lazza’ arrived second with ‘Cenere’, followed by another rapper ‘Mr Rain’ with the song ‘Supereroi’.
Numerous famous guests were invited during the show namely actors, models, singers, sports people and other prominent figures.
