American actress Cheryl Ladd was born as Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor on 12th July 1951 in South Dakota, is married and has 2 children. She is also a singer and author.
After finishing high school, Cheryl joined a group named ‘The Music Shop’ and they gave performances in various localities. Then, in 1970, she moved to Hollywood with the intention of starting a career in music. She sang in cartoons but then began to act in TV adverts and series like Happy Days, The Muppet Show and Police Woman, amongst others.
Stardom struck when Cheryl became part of the cast of the popular TV series ‘Charlie’s Angels’, which ran between 1977 and 1981. Whilst still starring in the series and becoming famous, Cheryl seized the opportunity to ameliorate her music career and went on to release 3 albums plus appearing in music-related TV shows.
After ‘Charlie’s Angels’ ended, Cheryl proceeded with her acting career and took part in over 30 movies produced for TV plus appearing as a guest in numerous TV shows. To name a few: ‘Purple Hearts’, ‘Poison Ivy’, ‘Charmed’ and ‘Las Vegas’. In addition, she also performed in a Broadway musical.
In 2010, she and actress Jaclyn Smith received the TV Land Pop Culture Award for their roles in ‘Charlie’s Angels’.
Cheryl also wrote 2 books: a children’s and an autobiography. As a singer, she released 5 studio albums and 20 singles.
