Singer and actor Luis Miguel Gonzalez Bose` was born 67 years ago in Panama City, Panama and has 4 sons.
Miguel’s family were close friends with renowned Spanish painter Pablo Picasso as well as famous writer Ernest Hemingway, so he was raised up encircled with culture and art.
Bose`’s career commenced in 1971 when he acted in several films. He also took singing, dancing and acting lessons and found work almost immediately. In view that there were not many acting opportunities, however, Miguel decided to try his luck by singing. This all began in 1975 and 2 years later, his first few singles were recorded.
For the next 5 years til 1982, he had become a teen superstar, especially Italy, Latin America, Spain, and the South of Europe and had 7 Top Ten hits. In fact, he had released a collection of tracks in the Italian language, some of which managed to peak the charts, particularly ‘Bravi Ragazzi’ which probably is his most famous Italian hit. Afterwards, however, his stardom in Italy started to fade, and so Miguel alternatively concentrated on Latin American markets.
For 2 years he appeared in a Puerto-Rican TV special and in 1985 celebrated his biggest hit named ‘Amante Bandido’. Three more albums were released during the 80s.
Miguel proceeded with his career and recorded several albums in other languages like English, Spanish and even French. In 2007, to mark his 30th career anniversary, he released an album featuring duets with many famous artists like Ricky Martin, Laura Pausini, Shakira and Mina, amongst others.
Apart from music and movies, Bose` performed in a couple of theatrical productions, appeared in several TV programmes and published 4 books.
