American actress Mimi Rogers was born as Miriam Spickler on 27th January 1956 in Coral Gables, Florida.  She is married and has 2 children.

Mimi graduated from high school when she was 14.  She then worked in a hospital and later had a part-time job as a social worker.  Mimi pursued an acting career after the end of her first marriage.

During the 80s, Mimi appeared in various TV series and movie roles like ‘Hill Street Blues’, ‘Magnun PI’, ‘Hart to Hart’, ‘Hear no Evil’, ‘The Rousters’ and ‘Paper Dolls’.  Her first big screen debut was in the comedy movie ‘Blue Skies Again’, followed by 5 more films she starred in the rest of the 80s.  

Mimi reached real stardom when she was the protagonist in ‘The Rapture’ released in 1991.  Afterwards, she continued starring in several roles in movies of different genres like thrillers, science-fiction, horror, comedy and romantic-comedy.  During that same period of time, Mimi appeared in some TV shows as well.

In the last 2 decades, Rogers proceeded with her career and was cast in several other films, TV series and programmes.  To date, she starred in over 45 movies and more than 35 TV series.  She also received a Daytime Emmy award, a Seattle International Film Festival award for best actress and and Independent Spirit Award for best female lead.

Mimi is also a competitive poker player as well as an avid environmentalist.
