American former actress and singer Pauley Perrette was born 56 years ago in New Orleans, Louisiana, is divorced and has no children.
During her teenage years, Pauley attended a public university where she studied criminal justice and afterwards continued her education in a public college in New York City. She is an undergraduate in criminal science, psychology and sociology, and had even commenced a master’s Degree in criminal science. She worked several jobs: as a bartender, giving out flyers as well as a cook on a cruise boat. One day, a friend introduced her to a director of an advertising agency and this led her to travel to Los Angeles where her acting career took off.
In 1994, Perrette made her small screen debut in a TV series called ‘ABC Afterschool Specials’. Two years later, she was offered a leading role in the legal drama TV series ‘Murder One’. Her big screen debut arrived in 1997 when she starred in the movie ‘The Price of Kissing’.
Over the years, Pauley starred in over 20 movies and about 25 TV productions, including voicing animated movie characters and acting as associate/executive producer/writer/director. She had 5 main roles on TV, and probably her most significant part is when she interpreted the character of the eccentric forensic scientist Abby Sciuto in the famous TV military police procedural series ‘NCIS’. Perrette acted in this role between 2003 and 2018 for a total of 352 episodes, after which she decided to quit to work in other productions, however, she retired from acting in July 2020.
Apart from acting, Pauley is also a singer and way back in the 2000s, she was the lead vocalist of a female band named ‘Lo-Ball’ and one of their songs features in the movie ‘Legally Blonde’. She also appears on a music video of heavy metal band Metallica, as well as sings in another 2 artists’ tracks.
Perrette is also an active philanthropist and supports several charitable institutions, particularly animal rescue, civil and LGBT rights and the American Red Cross.
