British actress Rachel Hannah Weisz was born 53 years ago in Westminster, London, is married to actor Daniel Craig and has 2 children.
When she was 14, Rachel started modelling and as a university student, she co-created a drama group and performed in several productions.
Rachel’s acting debut was in a TV film ‘Advocates II’ in 1992, which was followed by roles in TV series episodes and well as other made-for-TV movies. She also had a breakthrough stage role in 1994 which earned her an award. That same year, she had her first small movie role and 2 years later was cast in the film ‘Chain Reaction’ alongside Keanu Reeves and Morgan Freeman.
International stardom was reached in 1999 with the action-adventure movie ‘The Mummy’ starring also Brendan Fraser. She also starred in its sequel 2 years later.
In the last 2 decades, Rachel continued with her career and acted in several movies of different genres like crime, romantic comedy, thriller, horror, sci-fi and fantasy. These include ‘About a Boy’, ‘Runaway Jury’, ‘Constantine’, ‘The Whistleblower’, ‘Dreamhouse’, ‘Youth’, ‘My cousin Rachel’, Disobedience’ and ‘The Favourite’, amongst others. Apart from films, Weisz also played theatrical characters in some stage productions.
