American actress Shannen Doherty was born 52 years ago in Memphis, Tennessee and is married.
Shannen’s acting career commenced in 1982 when she guest starred in 2 TV series, followed by a recurring role in the famous series ‘Little House on the Prairie’ that same year when she was 11. She later appeared in episodes of ‘Magnum P.I.’ and ‘Airwolf’ as well as acted in the movie ‘Girls just want to have Fun’ and the family drama ‘Our House’.
Her first important movie role was in ‘Heathers’ but Shannen rose to international fame in 1990 when she was cast as one of the main characters in the very popular TV series ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’. Doherty played in this role until 1994 when she decided to quit.
From then on, Shannen concentrated more on TV movies, however, she did act in a couple of films. In 1998, she was one of the leading characters of the fantasy drama TV series ‘Charmed’ until her departure 3 years later.
In the next 2 decades, Doherty hosted a candid-camera show, acted in a soap opera, produced and starred in a reality shows, appeared in episodes of a British sitcom and a Swedish show as well as acted in several TV and big screen films. In particular, after 14 years, Shannen returned in her old role in ‘Beverly Hills, 90210.
