American actress and model Diedre Hall was born 77 years ago in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is divorced and has 2 sons.
As a teenager, Deidre travelled to Los Angeles for the summer where she attended college, aiming to become a psychologist, whilst also working as a model and appearing in some commercials. Soon after, she began to act in several TV series such as ‘The Streets of San Francisco’, ‘Columbo’, ‘Karen’ and ‘S.W.A.T.’.
Between 1973 & 1975, Hall had a recurring role in the soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless’. The following year, in 1976, she was offered to interpret the character of Marlena Evans in another soap opera ‘Days of our Lives’. This role has rendered her very famous, so much so that she has continued portraying it to this day.
Apart from this recurring role, Diedre also acted in around 35 TV productions like sitcoms, crime drama etc. She has sometimes guest-hosted a talk radio programme as well as co-written a book.
During her +50-year career, Hall won 3 Soap Opera Digest awards and 2 Soapy awards for Best Actress. In 2016, Deidre received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
