Ryan Hili, 26, who is a secondary school teacher from Zurrieq, won Eur50,000 at the X Factor Season 3 final held on 12th February.
Three of the four finalists sang three songs each, two as solists and one as a duet. Lisa Gauci came second, followed by Aidan Drakard and Cheryl Balzan in third and fourth place respectively.
Ryan was truly astonished with this unexpected result, but he received the majority of votes from the public, based on his performance throughout the competition. He showed full gratitude to the audience and was also praised by his mentor Howard Keith Debono.
