Italian singer Sabrina Salerno was born 54 years ago in Genoa. She also writes and produces songs, is a TV presenter and actress as well as a model.
She started her career in 1984 when she took part in an Italian prime time show and in 1986 released her first single ‘Sexy Girl’. Then a year after, the worldwide number one hit ‘Boys (Summertime Love) was released. This song led her to international fame, mainly due to its famous provocative video. Other hits include ‘All of Me – Boy oh Boy’, ‘My Chico’, ‘Hot Girl’, ‘Gringo and ‘Like a Yo-Yo’.
In 1989, she took part in an Italian comedy movie and the following year hosted a TV show alongside Raffaella Carra`. Then, for the first time, she recorded the song ‘Siamo Donne’ in her native Italian language, dueted with Jo Squillo. During the rest of the 90s and also in the 00s, she continued with releasing albums, took part in various theatrical performances and also hosted more TV shows.
