CELEBRITY BIRTHDAY TODAY... GLENN MEDEIROS

American former singer-songwriter and musician (currently educator) Glenn Alan Medeiros was born 55 years ago in Honolulu, Hawaii, is married and has 2 children.

During his teens he attended college and then University, from where he graduated and obtained a bachelor’s degree.  At the age of 44, he received a doctorate degree.

Glenn’s music career started on Kauai island when he was only 10, where his father worked on bus tours and Glenn amused customers with his singing.

As a teenager, Medeiros sang a cover of ‘Nothing’s Gonna change my love for You’, originally released by George Benson, in a radio talent competition and won.  The song was heard by a radio director who took it to his hometown Phoenix and it became first a national hit and then a worldwide number one hit.

In the years that followed, Glenn sang in duet with other artists like Thomas Anders, Bobby Brown and Ray Parker Jr, amongst others.  He also wrote songs for a few movies’ soundtracks including ‘The Karate Kid Part III’ and ‘If Looks could Kill’, as well as songs for various singers.  In fact, he composed around 200 songs in all.

Until he quit music in 2007, Medeiros had released 8 studio albums and 12 singles.  He then taught in various schools on the Hawaiian Islands and was assigned as vice principal, then Headmaster and currently CEO.
