American actress Jessica Collins was born 53 years ago as Jessica Lynn Capogna in Schenectady, New York, is married and has a daughter.
When she was 17, Jessica won the title of Miss New York Teen USA, as well as Miss Teen USA Pageant first runner up. She then studied acting at a theatre studio in London and afterwards went to another theatre studio in Los Angeles.
Her career took off when she was 20 years old, after she was offered a role in the then famous soap opera ‘Loving’. She interpreted the character of Dinah Lee Mayberry for 3 years. After leaving the soap opera role, Collins was cast in some movies as well as numerous TV series, sitcoms, films and other shows. These include ‘Renegade’, ‘Diagnosis: Murder’, ‘Star Trek: Voyager’ and ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’, amongst others.
Since the year 2000 to date, Jessica continued with her career and has starred in 7 movies and more than 20 TV productions. Between 2011 and 2015, she went back to soap operas and had a recurring role in ‘The Young and the Restless’.
In 2016, she won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for ‘The Young and the Restless’.
