American actress Marina Squerciati was born 41 years ago in New York City, is married and has 2 children.
Marina made her big screen debut at the age of 9 when she appeared in the 1993 ‘Nutcracker’. Thirteen years later, she was cast in the short film ‘Hold’ and a few years afterwards starred in the 2009 romantic comedy movie ‘It’s Complicated’ alongside Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. That same year, she debuted in an episode of the TV series ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’.
From then to date, Squerciati starred in 7 more films amongst which there are ‘Frances Ha’ and ‘Central Park’, as well as voiced several characters in the animated movie ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2’. With regards to TV, Marina guest appeared in several series including ‘The Good Wife’, ‘Blue Bloods’ and ‘Gossip Girl’.
In 2014, she was offered a main role in the famous police procedural series ‘Chicago P.D.’, in which she portrays Officer Kim Burgess. She still interprets this character to this day and so far has appeared in 158 episodes. In addition, since 2014/2015, Marina also guest stars in the same role in both the series ‘Chicago Fire’ and ‘Chicago Med’.
On a personal note, Squerciati graduated in 2003 with a B.A. in theatre.
