Scottish singer Owen Paul was born 63 years ago as Owen McGee in Glasgow, is married and has 3 children.  He is also a musician and songwriter.

When he was an adolescent, Owen was chosen to train with a Scottish football club but opted for a music career after he heard the English punk rock band ‘Sex Pistols’.  The first group he played and sang with were ‘Venigmas’ at the beginning of the 80s, and who had a single called ‘Strangelove’.

In 1986, he released his debut album and had a UK no 3 hit single ‘My favourite waste of Time’.  Three years later, Owen produced an album for a Japanese rock band.  Also during that decade, he appeared in a TV magazine programme as well as had a role in an American reality TV show.

He quit music for a period of 15 years, during which time he ran a Latin and ballroom dancing club and also a West End theatre.  He resumed his music career in 2002 and his second album was released.  Owen also toured and recorded with a couple of bands plus acting as lead singer of another group.

In the last decade, Paul released 2 more albums and 13 singles.
