British actor and narrator Michael Praed was born 65 years ago as Michael David Prince in Berkeley, Gloucestershire, is married and has 2 children.

After he finished college, Michael embarked on an acting career and made his debut appearance in 1982 in a London theatre when he performed in a the stage play ‘The Pirates of Penzance’, which continued into 1983.  Two years later, he acted in ‘The Three Musketeers’ held at the New York City Theatre of Broadway.

In 1984, Praed was offered a leading role in the TV series ‘Robin of Sherwood’ and starred in 11 episodes.  Afterwards, he was cast in the then-famous American soap opera Dynasty, portraying Prince Michael of Moldavia, appearing in 29 episodes.

During the 90s, Michael starred in 3 TV series, 4 films and 7 theatrical plays.  These include ‘Writers Block’, ‘Darkness Falls’, ‘Riders’, ‘Carousel’, ‘September Tide’, ‘Copacabana: The Musical’ and ‘Dangerous to Know’.

Praed proceeded with his career and in the last 25 years appeared in various movies, TV series and stage plays.  In particular, he interpreted the character of Frank Clayton in the British soap opera ‘Emmerdale’ for 3 years in a total of 285 episodes.

Apart from acting, Michael is also a narrator and has narrated several books/audio books/drama and TV productions, both on the radio and TV.
