THE MALTA EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2025

THE MALTA EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2025

Saturday, 8th February 2025, the much-awaited final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest was held at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali, and was hosted by Maltese presenters Pauline Agius, Valentina Rossi and actor Davide Tucci.

In June 2024, a song-writing camp was held and 60 songs were created.  In November, interested artists and composers could submit their competing songs, and the following month, 24 tracks were chosen for the competition. 12 songs were interpreted on each of the 2 semi-final nights, out of which the 8 top entries made it to the final, i.e. a total of 16 tracks. Voting was carried out on a 50/50 basis by 9 judges and televoting by the public.

The winning entry of this year’s contest was the song ‘Kant‘ interpreted by Miriana Conte with a total of 182 points.  The track ‘Heaven Sent‘ by Kristy Spiteri placed second, followed by ‘Lalaratatakeke Lalaratakabum‘ sung by Kantera in third place, with 174 points and 137 points respectively.

Coming May, Miriana will be representing Malta in the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Basel, Switzerland.

CONGRATULATIONS AND THE BEST OF LUCK MIRIANA!
