Danish actress, singer and model Gitte Nielsen was born 61 years ago in Rodovre, married 5 times and has 5 children.
At 6.1 feet tall, Brigitte started modelling in the early 80s. Then, in 1985, she began to act in several films, the first one being ‘Red Sonja’ with Arnold Schwarzenegger. For the rest of the 80s and through the 90s, she continued to star in numerous movies including ‘Cobra’, ‘Rocky IV’, ‘Beverly Hills Cop II’, ‘Snowboard Academy’ and ‘Fantaghiro` 2’.
Brigitte also commenced a music career in 1987. Her first album included the song ‘Body next to Body’ which was written by Giorgio Moroder and sung in duet with Austrian singer ‘Falco’. Another album followed in 1991. Brigitte also appeared in various artists’ music videos.
Nielsen also worked in various TV productions like reality shows etc in several countries including Italy, UK, USA, Germany and her home country Denmark.
In 2007, Brigitte went to a rehabilitation centre for a couple of weeks to treat her alcoholism problem and came out like a ‘new’ person, as she stated afterwards. A year later, she underwent plastic surgery, which intervention was transmitted on a TV show. In 2009, Nielsen published an autobiography which reached placed with the Top 5 in the Danish bestsellers’ list.
During her 40-year career, Brigitte starred in 34 films, appeared in 15 TV productions and released 3 albums and 14 singles.
