Salt’s career started in 1985, when she formed the group ‘Super Nature’ together with 2 other members. This band was eventually changed to Salt ‘N’ Pepa. Together they had 5 studio albums and probably their most popular hits are ‘Push It’ and ‘Let’s Talk about Sex’. Other songs include ‘Whatta Man’, ‘Shake your Thang’ and ‘Champagne’.
In 1993, Salt starred in the movie ‘Who’s the Man?’ and also in the reality TV series ‘Salt ‘N’ Pepa Show’ in 2008.
In 1995, Cheryl and her fellow group members won a Grammy Award for the Best Rap Performance by a Duo/Group with the song ‘None of your Business’ after being nominated numerous times.
