Jennifer Grey was born 62 years ago in New York City, USA. She is divorced and has a daughter.
At school, she studied acting and dancing and after graduating she trained acting for two years. At 19, she appeared in a Dr Pepper commercial and in 1984 made her first movie debut with small roles in ‘Reckless’, ‘The Cotton Club’ and ‘Red Dawn’. After a couple of other films, she rose to real fame with the classic movie ‘Dirty Dancing’ alongside actor Patrick Swayze. Surprisingly, this movie was a huge success and led Jennifer to being nominated for the Golden Globe Award as best actress.
Gray also appeared in a couple of sitcoms and contested in ‘Dancing with the Stars’, which competition was won by herself and partner Derek Hough. These apart from the many movies she starred in, the latest one being ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ in 2019.
