British-Canadian actor Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland was born 56 years ago in Paddington, London and is also a director producer and singer. He is engaged and has a daughter.
As a teenager, Kiefer attended acting lessons during weekends and later travelled to Hollywood to start a career in acting. 1983 was the year when he made his film debut in the movie ‘Max Dugan Returns’, alongside his dad Donald who is also an actor. For the rest of the 80s, Kiefer played several roles in various movies like ‘The Bay Boy’, ‘The Lost Boys’, ‘Promised Land’, ‘Young Guns’ and ‘Renegades’.
During that decade, Kiefer rose to fame and continued with starring in more successful movies in the 90s, acting in over 20 films, including voicing animated characters and directing a film. Amongst others, there are ‘Young Guns II’, ‘A Few Good Men’, ‘The Three Musketeers’, ‘Eye for an Eye’, ‘Dark City’ and ‘A Time to Kill’.
In the last 2 decades, Kiefer proceeded with his acting career and starred in more than 30 movies. He was one of the main protagonists in the TV series ’24’ which ran from 2001 to 2010 and played the same character in ’24: Live Another Day’ in 2014. Kiefer also voiced some characters in animated films as well as narrated several documentaries.
Apart from acting, Sutherland is also a singer and has released 3 albums and 10 music videos. He appeared in and also voiced several commercials. Kiefer supports a Canadian charity which works against racism.
