
English actor Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Copeland Bloom was born 49 years ago in Canterbury, Kent, is presumably single and has 2 children.
When he was a kid, his mother pushed him to study art and drama, so he took a 2-year course in drama, sculpture and photography. Afterwards, Orlando attended the National Youth Theatre for 2 seasons and managed to achieve a scholarship, enabling him to get training at the British American Drama Academy.
In 1997, Orlando was offered roles in the TV series ‘Casualty’ and ‘Midsomer Murders’, and made his first movie debut with a small role in ‘Wilde’. He then attended a music and drama school to study acting.
Just 2 days after graduating, Orlando had his first major role in ‘The Lord of the Rings’, playing the character of Legolas, and also starred in its 2 sequels. Afterwards, he was cast in the blockbuster movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’, alongside actor Johnny Depp. This was followed by starring in another major film ‘Troy’ featuring actors Brad Pitt and Eric Bana amongst others, in 2004.
In the last 2 decades, Orlando acted in around 30 films and is expected to star in 2 upcoming movies named ‘Wizards!’ and ‘Bucking Fastard’, which release dates are still to be announced. He also appeared in various TV programmes and even performed in some theatrical productions.
During his +30-year career, Orlando received 20 awards, including 5 Teen Choice, 2 MTV Movie and a Brittania Humanitarian, amongst others. He has also financially helped and supported various charitable institutions and in 2009 became a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
