CELEBRITY BIRTHDAY TODAY... ADRIEN BRODY

American actor Adrien Nicholas Brody was born 52 years ago in New York City and is in a relationship.

Adrien initially studied in a middle school, continued his education in a high school of music, art and performing arts and then proceeded by attending university followed by college.  As a kid, he used to give magic shows in children’s parties and also took acting lessons.

By the time he became a teenager, Brody had already appeared in a TV movie, as well as an off-Broadway stage play.  His big screen debut was in 1989 when he was cast in the film ‘New York Stories’.  He also appeared in an episode of a sitcom the previous year.

During the next decade, Adrien starred in various movies but his career breakthrough arrived in 1993 when he starred in a supporting role in ‘King of the Hill’.  Other significant roles he interpreted were in ‘Bullet’, ‘Restaurant’, ‘The Thin Red Line’, and ‘Summer of Sam’.

From the year 2000, Brody proceeded with his career and rose to stardom when he interpreted the leading character of Wladyslaw Szpilman in the 2002 biographical film ‘The Pianist’, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor, rendering him the youngest actor to ever win this prestigious award, as well as the only winner under 30.  To enable him portray this character, Adrien had to take long hours of piano lessons and lose a lot of weight.

After this huge success, he starred in over 40 movies of different genres, appeared in 9 TV productions, voiced animated film/video game characters, appeared in 2 music videos, performed in a stage play on West End as well as wrote, co-wrote, composed and acted as director, producer/executive producer of some of them.  Some of these are: ‘The Jacket’, ‘King Kong’, ‘The Darjeeling Limited’, ‘Giallo’, ‘Predators’, ‘Wrecked’, ‘Midnight in Paris’, ‘American Heist’, ‘Manhattan Night’, ‘Clean’, ‘Blonde’ and last year’s ‘The Brutalist’, for which he once again won the Academy Award for Best Actor.

During his career so far, Adrien received 14 awards out of 32 nominations.  These include 2 Academy, 1 BAFTA, 1 Golden Globe and 1 Satellite.
