American singer-songwriter and actress Mandy Moore was born 41 years ago as Amanda Leigh Moore in Nashua, New Hampshire, is married and has 3 children.

As a kid, Mandy first attended a private school where she started showing interest in singing and acting.  In fact, she soon asked her parents to take voice and acting lessons.  She then went to high school and at the age of 12 attended a performing arts camp whilst the following year, Moore began to work on music.  In addition, she acted in lead roles in some local productions.

Later, she managed to obtain a music contract and released her debut album ‘So Real’ in December 1999, which featured the single ‘Candy’.  During that same year’s summer, Moore embarked on 2 tours of boybands ‘NSYNC’ and ‘Backstreet Boys’.  Her most popular US single was ‘I Wanna be with You’ released in 2000, whilst her debut album was certified Platinum and the second one was certified Gold.  Over the years, Mandy released 6 more studio albums, 2 video albums, a re-issue, 3 compilation, 17 music videos and 18 singles.

In 2000, Mandy made her small screen debut when she appeared in an episode of 2 TV series and the following year, she voiced an animated character in ‘Dr Dolittle 2’ and later, she co-starred for the first time in the movie ‘Princess Diaries’ alongside Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews’.   From then to date, Moore starred in 19 films, voiced 17 animated movie/TV series characters and acted in 15 TV productions.  These include: ‘Saved!’, ‘Brother Bear 2’, ‘License to Wed’, ‘Tangled’, ‘The Darkest Minds’, ‘Midway’, ‘Entourage’, ‘The Simpsons’, ‘Red Band Society’, ‘This is Us’, ‘Family Guy’ and ‘Dr Death’.  She will also be voicing a character in an upcoming animated sitcom called ‘#1 Happy Family USA’.

Mandy is also an active philanthropist and supports charitable institutions regarding domestic violence, as well as several diseases including cervical cancer, leukemia, malaria etc.

During her career so far, Moore won 18 awards out of 54 nominations.  These include 3 Teen Choice, 2 Young Hollywood, 2 Screen Actors Guild, 2 Radio Disney and a People’s Choice.  She was also inducted in the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019.
