Canadian/American actor Joshua Carter Jackson was born 47 years ago in Vancouver, British Columbia, is divorced and has a daughter.
After attending 2 different secondary schools, Joshua continued his studies in high school. At the age of 13, he made his big screen debut in a small role in the 1991 drama film ‘Crooked Hearts’ and that same year he acted in a TV movie called ‘Payoff’.
The following year, he was cast in the sports comedy-drama film ‘The Mighty Ducks’, in which he interpreted the character of hockey player Charlie Conway. He reprised this role again in its sequels i.e. ‘D2: The Mighty Ducks’ in 1994 and ‘D3: The Mighty Ducks’ in 1996. By the end of that decade Joshua appeared in 10 more movies such as ‘Magic in the Water’, ‘Scream 2’, ‘Urban Legend’ and ‘Cruel Intentions’.
Since the year 2000 to date, Jackson starred in over 20 films including ‘Gossip’, ‘The Laramie Project’, ‘Cursed’, ‘Aurora Borealis’, ‘Shutter’, ‘One Week’, ‘Sky’ and his latest appearance in ‘Karate Kid: Legends’ alongside Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio.
With regards to TV, Joshua’s most significant roles were in the drama series ‘Dawson’s Creek’, in which he interpreted Pacey Witter in a total of 124 episodes between 1998 and 2003; Peter Bishop in ‘Fringe’, appearing in 96 episodes between 2008 and 2013; and ‘The Affair’, interpreting Cole Lockhart in 29 episodes between 2014 and 2018. Jackson also starred in several other productions, mainly miniseries. Since last year, he acts in a main role in the medical drama series ‘Dr Odyssey’, which he also executively produced. Apart from movies and TV, Joshua also performed in 3 stage plays.
During his career so far, Jackson received 7 awards, including 3 Teen Choice, a Young Hollywood and a Genie, amongst others.
