American actor and musician Jared Joseph Leto was born 51 years ago in Bossier City, Louisiana, is unmarried and does not have children.
When Jared was a child, his mother, who was part of the hippie movement, motivated him and his brother to interest themselves in arts. Matter of factly, they both started playing music, with the piano being Jared’s first instrument.
After several years, Jared attended university as he wished to study large-scale visual art. He also became interested in filmmaking and even wrote a short movie called ‘Crying Joy’ in which he also acted.
In 1992, Jared went to Los Angeles as he wished to start a career as a film director, whilst keeping acting on the side. Firstly, he acted in small roles on TV and then was chosen to star in a more important character in a TV drama, which was well received. He went on to act in another TV movie and then on the big screen when he starred in ‘How to make an American Quilt’ in 1995. During the rest of the 90s, Jared acted in several more movies, in particular the biographical film ‘Prefontaine’ which is considered to have led him to stardom.
In 1998, along with his brother, Jared formed a rock band named ‘Thirty Seconds to Mars’. To date, they released 6 albums, 16 music videos, 3 EPs and 20 singles, and their albums sold more than 15 million copies worldwide.
During the last 3 decades, Leto starred in over 20 movies as well as appeared in 6 TV shows, even directing and producing some of them too. In 2023, Jared is supposed to be cast of a horror comedy film named ‘Haunted Mansion’. So far, Leto received 43 awards out of 100 nominations.
Jared is also involved in various business ventures as well as supports several philanthropic organisations, particularly those concerning children and humanitarian activities.
