German actress and former model Nastassja Kinski was born 64 years ago as Nastassja Aglaia Nakszynski in West Berlin, is divorced and has 3 children. She is the daughter of German actor Klaus Kinski.
Nastassja’s parents divorced when she was just 7 years old, and she had quite a difficult childhood since she and her siblings lived with their mum and financially struggled to make ends meet.
Kinski worked as a model when she was still a teenager, as well as made her big screen debut in the 1975 film ‘The Wrong Move’. The following year, Nastassja was offered two major roles and for the rest of that decade starred in 4 more movies, amongst which there are ‘Cosi` come Sei’ alongside Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni and ‘Tess’ directed by Roman Polanski.
During the 80s, Kinski acted in 14 films of different genres such as ‘Cat People’, ‘Maria’s Lovers’, ‘Unfaithfully Yours’ and ‘Torrents of Spring’. After the end of the that decade, she continued with her career and to date has starred in 38 films, 3 made-for TV movies and voiced an animated movie character.
Nastassja won 10 awards out of 18 nominations, including a Golden Globe, 2 Bravo Otto, a Jupiter and a Nastro D’Argento. She was also honoured with 2 Career Achievement Awards in 2005 and 2018.
