Last week, the popular Italian presenter Amadeus hosted, for the 5th consecutive (and final) year, the 74th edition of the prestigious yearly Festival of San Remo held at the majestic Ariston Theatre. This much-loved event was presented for 5 nights between the 6th and the 10th February. Each night, Amadeus was assisted by last year’s winner Marco Mengoni, singer Giorgia, actress Teresa Mannino, dancer/singer Lorella Cuccarini and singer/TV presenter Rosario Fiorello respectively.
On the first night, all 30 songs were performed, whilst on the second and third nights, 15 songs per night were interpreted. Guest artists sung songs from the past in duet with the contestants on the fourth night.
On the big night of the final, the participants sang one final time and after the usual voting, the winner was announced. Singer Angelina Mango won this year’s Festival with the song ‘La Noia‘, obtaining 40.3% of total votes. Rapper Geolier arrived second with ‘I p’me, tu p’te’, followed by Annalisa with the song ‘Sinceramente’.
Numerous famous guests were invited during the show namely actors, models, singers, sports people and other prominent figures.
